President of the Supreme Council, H.E Ambassador Prof. Dr. Derya ÖRS Attends a Conference Titled “Türkiye in the Second Century of the Republic” at Kütahya Dumlupınar University
The President of the Atatürk Supreme Council of Culture, Language, and History, H.E. Ambassador Prof. Dr. Derya ÖRS attended a conference titled “Türkiye in the Second Century of the Republic” held at Kütahya Dumlupınar University. The conference began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by an opening speech delivered by Kütahya Dumlupınar University Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman KIZILTOPRAK.
ÖRS recalled that the 100th anniversary of the Republic was celebrated with great enthusiasm last year, stating, “We have taken the first step into the second century.” In his speech, ÖRS highlighted that during the early 20th century, in a period of long-standing conflicts with dominant powers, the struggle led by the founder of our Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—thanks to his political and military genius—resulted in a great national victory. ÖRS emphasized that one of the greatest achievements the Republic has brought to society is freedom. He added, “In the second century of the Republic, we must make Türkiye the strongest, most prosperous, and most well-equipped country in the world,” stressing that every individual must fulfill their responsibilities with dedication to reach this goal.
The conference concluded with the presentation of a gift to ÖRS. After the conference, ÖRS visited Kütahya Dumlupınar University Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman KIZILTOPRAK in his office.
