A COOPERATION PROTOCOL WAS SIGNED BETWEEN THE ATATÜRK SUPREME COUNCIL FOR CULTURE, LANGUAGE AND HISTORY AND THE AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
A cooperation protocol was signed between the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to exchange information in the academic field and implement joint projects and events.
At the protocol signing ceremony held at the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History Conference Hall, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen, President of Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, emphasized the importance of the deep-rooted relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and said, “In addition to the military, commercial and economic relations, it is important that academic cooperation between the two states continues.” Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen reminded that 2023 is the 100th year of our Republic and emphasized that the cooperation protocol signed between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Atatürk Supreme Council in the academic field will allow the two countries to deal with strategic issues in a more planned manner. Prof. Dr. Özgen expressed that they expect the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to participate in the scientific events that will be organized by the institutions within the Atatürk Supreme Council on the occasion of the 100th year of our Republic.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. İsa Habibbeyli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, said that the friendly relations developed significantly between the two countries’ leaders have led to new developments in the field of science. Prof. Dr. Habibbeyli invited the Atatürk Supreme Council to the international events that will be held in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Haydar Aliyev.
After the speeches, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özgen and Prof. Dr. İsa Habibbeyli signed the cooperation protocol.
At the signing ceremony, the President of Atatürk Culture Center, Dr. Zeki Eraslan, and the Deputy President of the Turkish Language Association, Dr. Ömer Gök, were also present.
