100th Anniversary of the Declaration of Ankara as the Capital

Happy 100th anniversary of the declaration of Ankara as the capital city, which has been the administrative center of the decisions taken for the independence and future of the Turkish nation!

As Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk points out:

“After implementing the evacuation protocol, one of the annexes of the Treaty of Lausanne, the integrity of Türkiye, which was completely freed from enemy hands, was ensured. It was now necessary to determine the capital of the new Turkish State by law. Everyone agreed that the new Türkiye’s capital should be the city of Ankara, located in Anatolia.”
