Scientific Board Meetings of the Institutions Affiliated with the Supreme Council Held
H.E. Prof. Dr. Derya Örs, President of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, attended the regular Scientific Board meetings of the Turkish Language Association, the Turkish Historical Society, the Atatürk Culture Center, and the Atatürk Research Center—institutions affiliated with the Supreme Council—held at the Supreme Council Campus between 25–28 November 2025, and delivered significant evaluations. He emphasized the importance of the scientific activities carried out in fields such as Turkish language, culture, history, and Atatürk studies for our country. Throughout each meeting, Örs offered assessments regarding the work of the respective institutions and shared his recommendations for enhancing scientific productivity.
On the first day, at the Turkish Language Association Scientific Board Meeting held on 25 November 2025, Örs evaluated the activities conducted by the Association throughout 2025. He underscored the impact of artificial intelligence applications on language and expressed his appreciation for the institution’s work in this area.
At the meeting held on 26 November 2025, Örs thanked the outgoing members of the Turkish Historical Society Scientific Board for their contributions and presented certificates to the newly elected members. In his speech, he evaluated the Society’s activities throughout 2025. Highlighting the value of the branches and commissions operating under the Scientific Board, he noted that the addition of new units would further strengthen the institution’s scientific productivity.
At the meeting held on 27 November 2025, Örs thanked the outgoing members of the Atatürk Culture Center Scientific Board for their contributions and presented certificates to the newly elected members. In his remarks, he evaluated the activities carried out by the Atatürk Culture Center throughout 2025. Drawing special attention to one of the institution’s most significant projects—the Turkish Folktale Collection Project—Örs emphasized its critical role in children’s cognitive, linguistic, and emotional development, noting that the project is conducted with great care and is widely appreciated.
The Scientific Board meetings of the institutions affiliated with the Supreme Council concluded on 28 November 2025 with the meeting of the Atatürk Research Center. Prior to the meeting, Örs, together with Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kılınç, President of the Atatürk Research Center, and members of the Center’s Scientific Board, inaugurated the Atatürk and Family Exhibition organized by the institution.
Later, addressing the meeting, Örs thanked the outgoing members of the Atatürk Research Center Scientific Board for their contributions and presented certificates to the newly elected members. In his speech, he evaluated the activities carried out by the Center throughout 2025. Örs noted that the institution has reached broader audiences compared to previous years and stated that the Atatürk Encyclopedia prepared by the Center represents a significant breakthrough.
In all the meetings, H.E. Prof. Dr. Derya Örs thanked the Scientific Board members for their contributions, emphasized the institutions’ contributions to the nation’s culture and science, and extended his best wishes for success in the upcoming period.
