The 2025 Atatürk International Peace Prize To Be Presented To The Secretary-General Of United Nations, H.E. António Guterres

In line with Atatürk’s principle of “Peace at home, peace in the world”, the Atatürk International Peace Prize, conferred as a State prize upon individuals and institutions that contribute to world peace, international friendship, and goodwill, is presented by the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History in accordance with the Regulation on the Atatürk International Peace Prize, prepared pursuant to Article 27 of Decree Law No. 664. The prize is awarded in years ending with (0) and (5).

During his address at the special ceremony held at the Presidential Complex Exhibition Hall on the occasion of the October 29th Republic Day, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the 2025 Atatürk International Peace Prize will be presented to The Secretary-General of United Nations, H.E. António Guterres

Mr. Guterres has been deemed worthy of the prize in recognition of his efforts to promote peace and stability across the world.
